Cristina N. Porch-Curren, M.D.

Dr. Porch-Curren has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley.  She received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine where she graduated with the honors of AOA, Cum Laude, and Alpha Sigma Nu.  She completed her internship and residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Harbor UCLA.  Upon completing residency she was voted “best clinical” resident of the year. Her Allergy/Immunology fellowship training was completed at UC Davis Medical Center, where she had extensive training in adult and pediatric allergic disease.  She is board certified in Allergy, Clinical Immunology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Porch-Curren has publications in the field of allergy, reviewing the value of immunotherapy and evaluating the role of alternative medicine in allergic disease.  Her expertise includes diagnosis of allergic and immunologic disease-including rhinitis, food allergy, drug allergy, eczema, asthma and immunodeficiency.  As a specialist she’s able to focus on specific complaints.  Dr. Porch-Curren’s approach to individual patient’s needs includes a thorough history and examination, not just reacting to symptoms.  Dr. Porch-Curren is a Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology and Fellow of the American College of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology. She also belongs to the Los Angeles Allergy Society and is the current President of the Gold Coast Allergy Society.  Dr. Porch-Curren grew up in Southern California and currently resides in Camarillo.  She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons.
