During these unprecedented times we want to inform you of the precautions we have implemented to keep you and our staff safe. We are open and are happy to announce that we are available for NEW and ESTABLISHED patients 805-482-8989. We transitioned to Telemedicine and we are following insurance company recommendations. The platform is Doxy.me and is very easy to use.
We are continuing in office:
-administration of Biologic (XOLAIR, NUCALA, FASENRA, DUPIXENT) injectable medication
-office visits approved by our MD’s
-allergy shot therapy with adjusted hours, and adjusted protocols to maintain safety
Prior to any patient entering the office a series of questions will be asked and temperatures will be taken at the front door.
Spring is here and we are expecting a pollen filled season. We want to do our very best to prevent asthma flares and sinus infections. Our focus is to keep our immune deficient patients healthy, eczema controlled, hives quiet, and provide food allergy guidance. We do not want our patients to wind up in an urgent care or ER unnecessarily. We can do most care via telemedicine and we may elect to bring you into the office for an appointment if necessary.
We continue to focus on the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors by:
-Following protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and thorough cleaning (masks/gloves etc.).
-Screening patients by phone and prior to entering our offices so those at risk can be assessed appropriately. NO sick patients in the office.
-No magazines in waiting areas.
-Taking temperatures of ALL visitors and patients before entering the office.
-Telemedicine and referral for suspicious COVID-19 testing when appropriate.
-Reducing patient/visitors in waiting room. Patients are expedited to a room for appointments.
-Employees must be well to come to work.

Do I keep my appointment?
Absolutely! We will transition you to a telemedicine platform and if necessary will bring you into the office for evaluation.
How do I prepare for my Telemedicine visit?
You need either a computer with a webcam (using chrome or firefox) or a smart phone and enable the camera. A link will be sent to you ahead of time and we ask that you log in 15minutes before your scheduled visit. We can “see” you best if you are in a light room with natural light from a window. It is also helpful if you can take your temperature, blood pressure, weight, height, and peak flow or Oxygen level if possible. If not that’s OK.
Can I still get my allergy shot?
YES! We will be adjusting shot hours (see below) and we have adjusted procedures a bit to protect patients and staff. If a patient does not wait in the waiting room we request ALL patients wait out front of the office or in your car for the recommended wait time. We do not want to disrupt desensitization.
Can I bring my family to my appointment if I’m being seen in the office?
We ask that visitors during the appointment are limited. Ideally only the patient is present but if necessary, such as with a minor, that there be only 1 other family member present. This is for the safety of you, the patient, and our staff.
