COVID 19, allergy, and asthma.

We are in uncharted territory with COVID 19 and gathering data on what actually renders one high risk, tactics to decrease infection, or decrease infection severity are not really known. Fortunately, reserachers are beginning to gather data that will help us combat this illness. Linked below is a study out of the University of Wisconsin which highlights some interesting data on the potential protective effect of allergy against COVID 19. The other is not a scientific article but presents some anecdotal observation. Neither of these should be considered as medical advice but both present some hope for our patients with allergic disease.
